Young talents and future stars from conservatories, soloists from leading Czech theatres, renowned independent companies and stars of social and group dances - they will all combine their power of movement in a varied programme that will combine the timeless beauty of classical ballet with the dynamism of contemporary dance, tradition with innovation, discipline and precision with emotion and unbridled energy. This evening belongs to dance in all its forms at the highest possible level.

The performance is presented by Art 4 People as part of the celebration of International Dance Day, which was proclaimed in 1982 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI) to mark the anniversary of the birth of French dance reformer Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810). On the occasion of this now globally recognized dance holiday (registered under UNESCO), Art 4 People is organizing a celebration that also includes open-air dance festivals in Prague (29 April 2025) and Hradec Kralove (26 April 2025) and a second gala performance of Dance Kralove GALA at the Hradec Kralove Philharmonic (26 April 2025).

Hybernia Theatre and its location have a rich history. In the 14th century, the emperor Charles IV built the St. Ambrosius monastery here which gradually fell under different orders, the Benedictines, Minorites, and finally in the 17th century the Irish Franciscans.

In late-18th century the monastery was shut down on the order of Emperor Joseph II and the church was deconsecrated. Still, the place was called „U Hybernů“ (Hybernia means Ireland in latin). The former church served as a customs house, exhibition hall. In 2006 its interior was transformed into a modern theatre hosting mainly musicals, but also ballet, opera performances and jazz concerts.
