We want you to really enjoy your stay in Prague. Sightseeing tours are supposed to be great experience and fun, therefore let us give you few local tips:
Please rest assured that you needn’t worry about your safety as Prague is one of the safest tourist destinations. Use your common sense, keep your belongings with you, as you do anywhere else. Beware of pickpockets and taxi drivers without license. We recommend you to order a taxi from established companies such as AAA Taxi of Liftago, or through your hotel reception. However it is also safe to take a night public transport or walk through the centre.
There is no dress code required for most of the tours and activities. However, we have some tips for you that can make you feel more comfortable on your sightseeing tour:
- If your tour includes entrance to church interiors or synagogues, in the summer, we recommend to wear long trousers (no mini skirts or shorts) and advise you to cover your shoulders if dressed in sleeveless tops.
- In case you booked sightseeing cruise with dinner, smart casual dress will make your experience even more unforgettable.
- For tours with longer duration or walking tours be sure to wear comfortable sport shoes and variable dress. Be prepared for weather changes, have your umbrella with you, take sun glasses and in hot weather preferably also cover your head. Have something to drink with you.
It may take a longer time to get to a place in a city you don't know. Therefore, it is better to set off in advance so that you arrive for the tour 15 minutes before the start. Better to be at the spot sooner and admire the beauty of the surroundings than to miss a tour.
- Public transport
Prague has a great public transport and tickets are cheap, so make the most of it. You may check the website of Prague integrated transport which is also in English. It is a great help to plan your route and you will also find all the informations about tickets there.
- Taxi
You can also take a taxi, however, we strongly recommend you not to take a random taxi on the street. Unfortunately, Prague taxi drivers don´t have the best reputation due to often highly overpriced service. Therefore, it is better to book a taxi through your hotel reception or use services of established companies such as AAA Taxi or Liftago.
Some tours are more suitable for small children, some are less. We recommend you to always consider, especially with very small children, the duration of a tour, time needed to get to meeting point and the overall concent of the tour.
